event diary - what happens when
Make sure you bring your race number to the prize giving for your chance to get a spot prize!
Major date one: online entries
First Saturday in July
While the actual date changes year to year, it will generally be on the first Saturday in July at 6.30am.
Major date two: check-in
Day before race day
You must check-in no later than 9.00pm on the Friday before the event. You must also attend the safety briefing which is held at the Real Journeys Community Events Centre at 7.30pm.
Major date three: RACE DAY!
Re-check-in
Make sure you re-check yourself in at the start line for the Kepler (race starts at 6.00am) and the Luxmore Grunt (race starts at 8.00am). See the full diary (left) for more.
Kepler Challenge timeline
Although the race preparations start in January, from a runner's perspective the first date to note is online entry day! Below is a step-by-step diary to take you through the whole thing.
Pre-event
Online registration
Registration opens on the first Saturday in July at 6.30am (NZ time).
Refund date 1 - 1st October
75% cancellation fee on entire transaction. (Before this you will be charged a $45 cancellation fee).
Refund date 2 - 14 days before race day
No refund on entry fees from now. (For full refund information please read the conditions of entry.)

Race packs and check-in
This will be available from 12.00 midday on the day before the race (Friday) at the Real Journeys Community Events Centre, Te Anau. For more on the registration process please see the FAQ page.
Pre-run briefing
This is for both events and held the evening before the race, usually 7.30 - 8.00 pm at the Real Journeys Community Events Centre.
Nike ACG Gear sale
There may be a Nike ACG gear sale again this year - this is yet to be confirmed. Last year there were ome awesome deals to be had.

Drinks at the Moose
After the race why not head along to the Moose Bar on the lake front and have a drink. The Moose offer a free drink to all runners - look for the voucher in your race pack!
Sunday 5th December 2010
Event breakfast
8.00am - This is available prior to the prize giving on Sunday at the Te Anau Hotel & Villas. Make sure you place your order on the entry form if you wish to attend. A limited number of extra breakfasts may be available at pre-race check-in.
Prize giving
10.00am - To be held the morning after the race at the Real Journeys Community Events Centre. Be sure to bring your race number along to be in to get your spot prize!
